The sad thing is, that Toutebelle (the Princess) kind of brought it upon herself due to her arrogance and self-entitlement just because she was beautiful (though the Queen is at fault too for making Toutebelle that way). She basically sat around dressed like a Roman goddess while the entire court paid attention only to her, and she had 20 suitors who she didn't think were good enough for her. Still, I did feel bad that she died at the end, since I hoped that she would learn her lesson (I still think her love for the King of the Gold Mines was genuine). I always thought one of the morals of The Yellow Dwarf was that being beautiful does not give you the right to act like a bitch, which Toutebelle was basically doing.
